Most of you already know that the first of the Causey clan to arrive in America was Nathaniel and his wife Thomasine Causey. Nathaniel was not only a gentleman planter but was one of Captain John Smith’s trusted soldiers. He and William Causey arrived on the first two resupply ship to arrive at the Jamestown Colony in January and April of 1608. So begins the saga of our American Causeys:
