Some of the stories passed down from our grandparents and great aunts and uncles add so much humanity to our family history. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Our Causey Clan is no exception. In our line are Gentlemen, War Heroes, Preachers, Thieves, Drunks, Slave owners, and slaves. There are many great stories of love and hope; stories of hard work and sacrifice. But their is one story that shows the passion and diligence required to make the impossible dream come true.
Peter T. Causey as a young boy must have wondered through the vast woods named Lloyds Forest. It had been purchased by several members of the Causey Clan of Caroline County, Maryland. How he must have loved that forest!
